...Very little has changed since in my emotions towards this reality, but I have learned how to cope. Being deeply nostalgic can be painful and yet I think it allows me to savor the goodness of life all the more. This real ache inside me makes me a better photographer of people's lives.

In one way or another, I've always been documenting and preserving the world as I see it. Whether writing, painting, sewing, music, or photography, I was made to create things. A photo in many ways is the most precious form of art. It exists as a testament of a moment in time that would have otherwise been lost.  

I married the love of my life in 2022 and truly love everything God has brought our way. We met working at a summer camp. We started talking and never really stopped.  Our first year of marriage we attended a condesed seminary program and then spent the summer commercial salmon fishing in remote Alaska. We have spent our second year renovating our first home with the help of our brother in law. We are proud full time aunt and uncle of our "besties" (nieces and nephew) that live down the street.  Our puppy Shiloh makes us laugh all the time. We are passionately communal people and friends are over constantly.

Our truest joy comes from the freedom that  we have in Jesus Christ. The Lord saved both of us when we were young and continues to redeem and restore  all the weak and broken parts of our lives. Our chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
